Recruitment, Enrollment, and Retention of International Students

Wednesday, May 31 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM LACC, Room 408A

In light of recent tragic events such as Manchester and Syrian Refugee crisis, we cannot emphasize the importance of making a student feel they belong on your campus.

When a student is having a great experience, they are your best source for helping you recruit their friends, relatives and other students from China.

Our session will uncover international student profiles from the community college, state campus, and private campus perspectives. Hear students’ viewpoints, from their first encounter with the institution to the admission and enrollment processes to their academic experiences on campus. Learn how to build the right relationships with agents, high schools, and community organizations that will improve recruitment, enrollment, and retention.

Learning Objectives: Gain strategies to build the right relationships with agents, high schools, community organizations, and government relations that will improve their recruitment, enrollment and retention. Explore methods to co-brand or cross-market the campus effectively with outside partners given limited resources and budgets.
